Ballyhoura Forest Park

Ballyhoura Forest Park is a sprawling outdoor recreation area in the Ballyhoura Mountains, offering families a chance to explore nature. The park features a network of waymarked walking trails ranging from short, easy loops to longer hikes, as well as dedicated mountain bike trails suitable for older children and adults. A highlight for younger visitors is the playground area with swings, slides, and climbing frames. Picnic tables and BBQ stands are available, making it a great spot for a family day out. Walking trails: The 'Red Loop' (1.5 km) is perfect for young children, while the 'Yellow Loop' (5 km) offers a gentle forest walk.
