What parents should know
Carrick-on-Shannon Leisure Centre is a family-friendly facility offering a 25m swimming pool, children's pool, gym, and sports hall.
Best timing
Book swimming sessions ahead during school holidays
Sessions fill up quickly during holiday periods, so book in advance to avoid disappointment and long waits.
Must do
Separate children's pool is gentler for younger swimmers
The dedicated children's pool is warmer and shallower, making it ideal for toddlers and nervous young swimmers.
Entertainment
Soft play area keeps toddlers entertained between activities
If younger siblings get tired of the pool, the soft play zone offers a change of pace without leaving the centre.
