Danson Park

Danson Park, located in the London Borough of Bexley, is a 75-hectare public park renowned for its expansive green spaces, picturesque gardens, and a large boating lake. Established in 1925, it is the second-largest public park in the borough and is often considered the finest green open space in the area. The park features a variety of attractions, including the historic Danson House, a Grade I-listed Georgian mansion, and several gardens such as the English Garden, Rock Garden, and Peace Garden. Visitors can enjoy activities like boating, sailing, and rowing on the lake, as well as sports facilities including football pitches, tennis courts, and a children's playground with a small water park. The park also hosts various events throughout the year, including circuses, fun-fairs, firework displays, and a free 5k run every Saturday morning.
