Boardwalks, ponds and bird hides let children slow down and notice wetland wildlife. During the current upgrade works, the outdoor reserve remains the main reason to visit, with the Discovery Centre, stream walk and butterfly garden among the areas still available.
The Visitor Centre galleries, indoor play area, café and shop are closed for upgrading. The Mudflat Hide and Life Zone are also closed until 30 September 2026 provisionally; check the current notice before travelling.
