Knowsley Safari Park

Knowsley Safari Park is a drive-through safari experience set in 550 acres of parkland, home to over 750 animals including lions, rhinos, giraffes, and baboons. Families can drive their own car along the 5-mile safari route, then explore the Foot Safari on foot, which features animal encounters, a reptile house, and the 'Amazona' indoor bird aviary. Highlights include the tiger trail, sea lion show, and the 'Lemur Woods' walkthrough. There are also amusement rides, a splash park (seasonal), and multiple playgrounds. Suitable for all ages, but especially engaging for children aged 3–12. Younger kids enjoy the petting area and gentle rides; older kids love the thrill of big cats up close. Facilities: cafes, picnic areas, baby-changing, wheelchair and pushchair access (some uneven paths). Tip: book online in advance for a discounted ticket and arrive early to avoid queues at the safari entrance.
