Marlfield Lake
An outdoor nature-reserve in Tipperary

Marlfield Lake is a picturesque freshwater lake located on the outskirts of Clonmel, County Tipperary. It is part of the Marlfield Demesne, a historic estate with a lovely parkland setting. The lake is a popular spot for families, offering a gentle walking trail around the water's edge (approx. 1.5 km), where children can enjoy wildlife spotting – swans, ducks, and other birds are common. There is a small playground nearby with swings and a slide, and plenty of open grass for picnics or ball games. Facilities include free parking, benches, and a small car park. The trail is mostly flat and buggy-friendly. No dedicated café, but Clonmel town centre is a short drive away. Best for ages 2–12, though teens may enjoy the peaceful setting for a walk.
