Port Meadow
An outdoor park-gardens in Oxfordshire

Port Meadow is a large, ancient common land in Oxford, stretching along the River Thames. It offers wide open spaces perfect for walking, cycling, picnicking, and flying kites. Kids can enjoy spotting grazing horses and cattle, paddling in the river (at own risk), and exploring the floodplain meadows. There are no formal playgrounds or cafes, so bring your own entertainment and supplies.
The meadow is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with diverse wildlife. It's a great spot for nature walks and birdwatching. Free parking is available at the Wolvercote end. Nearby, you can visit the Perch pub for refreshments.
