Rosses Point Beach
An outdoor seaside-attractions in Sligo

A beautiful Blue Flag sandy beach on the coast of County Sligo, ideal for families with young children. The beach has gentle waves, lifeguards during summer (June–August), and plenty of space for building sandcastles, paddling, and flying kites. Facilities include public toilets, disabled access, car park (pay and display), and a nearby playground. There are seasonal cafes and ice cream kiosks along the promenade. Nearby attractions: check out the iconic 'Metal Man' statue on the headland, or take a short walk to the Rosses Point Pier for crabbing. For older kids, there are walking trails and a coastal path with views of Benbulben. Practical tip: arrive early in peak summer to get a good spot. The wind can be strong, so bring windbreaks and layers.
