Tipperary Town Library is located in the Excel Centre in the heart of Tipperary Town, County Tipperary, Ireland. The library offers free access to books, eBooks, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, and online learning platforms for all members.
The library runs regular children's activities including Preschool Story-time every Wednesday at 12:30 and Toddler Story-time every Friday at 10:30. There's also a wonderful sensory area with bubbling light towers, mirrors, soft furnishings, and a selection of sensory toys and resources available for all visitors. The library provides assistive technologies and hosts author visits, creative workshops, and seasonal events throughout the year.
A standout feature is the My Open Library service, which gives members self-service access from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year. During unstaffed hours, members can still borrow and return books, use computers and WiFi, print documents, and use study spaces. The library is part of a countywide service that prides itself on being inclusive and accessible to families, students, and people with disabilities.
