Located in a custom-built, RIBA Award–winning building on Tooley Street in the London Borough of Southwark, the theatre opened in 2005. It comprises two theatre spaces—the Weston Theatre with a 290-seat capacity and the Clore Studio Theatre with a 100-seat capacity—along with an education studio, rehearsal space, café, and the John Lyon meeting room. The theatre was founded in 1949 by Caryl Jenner and has since become a central hub for children's theatre in London.
