The south Lantau coast gives Lower Cheung Sha Beach a different feel from a city playground. A family visit can be as simple as sand toys, a picnic and a long look out to sea.
Bring shade, drinking water and dry clothes. Allow plenty of time for road travel, and check official beach conditions before considering a swim.
