The cable-car journey from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping turns the trip into the attraction, with views across Lantau’s hills and water. The 5.7-kilometre ride takes about 25 minutes each way and can be paired with time exploring Ngong Ping.
Cable-car service is suspended from 8 to 18 September 2026 for scheduled maintenance. Confirm resumption and the day’s timetable before travelling; the village remains open during the suspension.
